encephalizationQuotient(brainMassKg, bodyMassKg): number

Encephalization quotient — brain mass relative to what body size predicts.

Source: Jerison (1973), as above.

EQ ~1 is average for a mammal; 4-5 is elephant or dolphin; ~7 is human. It is the honest way to say "how clever is it" without inventing a stat.
